This version covers 58 coding products, model families and inference services. It brings major commercial systems into the same comparison as smaller, more open alternatives. The three tables represent different layers of a setup.
What inspired it
Good On You makes ethical consumer research approachable. Ethical Consumer keeps multiple concerns visible. Privacy Guides explains the setup behind a recommendation. Ethical Stack is independent of all three and does not reproduce their ratings.
How it was made
Codex coordinated the research and implementation with lower-cost research agents and Grok CLI contributions. Each profile names the sources examined. AI-assisted research can miss context. Each assessment keeps its sources and uncertainty visible, and the project welcomes specific, sourced corrections.
